Fairmont Cake

 
 

 

 
 

2 cups flour
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons B.P. [baking powder]
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs

sift flour & B.P. three times

beat shortening & sugar to a cream

add milk and vanilla

then flour a little at a time

beat untill smoth

add eggs one at a time stiring and beating batter well after each egg is added

bake in layers in hot oven.

Cool oven 250°F
Slow oven 250–350°F
Moderate oven 350–375°F
Hot oven 375–450°F
